7-Night Balearics Classic — Palma to Ibiza

7 nights Monaco → Antibes ~85 nm

Route Overview

The Route

Day 1 — Palma de Mallorca: Embarkation

Board at Puerto Portals or Real Club Náutico de Palma. Palma's Gothic Cathedral (La Seu) is best seen from the water at dusk; the old town of narrow streets has some excellent restaurants and the Fundació Joan Miró for contemporary art lovers. Welcome dinner at Arrocería Sa Cranca on the seafront.

Day 2 — Southwest Mallorca: Andratx & Sa Dragonera

Sail along Mallorca's southwestern coast — the most dramatic on the island, with cliffs of the Serra de Tramuntana plunging into the sea. Anchor at Port d'Andratx (the most exclusive anchorage in Mallorca) and explore the surrounding coves. The small island of Sa Dragonera is a natural park with no development.

Day 3 — Formentera

The clearest water in the western Mediterranean — Ses Illetes beach at the northern tip of Formentera has water colour that rivals the Maldives. Shallow, turquoise and warm. The island is car-free by inclination if not by rule; hire bicycles to explore the pine forests and the La Mola lighthouse at the island's eastern end.

Day 4 — Ibiza: North Coast Coves

Explore Ibiza's northern coast before arriving at the town — the Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta bays are the most beautiful on the island, with turquoise water and pine trees to the water's edge. Arrive in Ibiza Town for the afternoon — the UNESCO-listed Dalt Vila (upper town) with its Renaissance walls is extraordinary. Dinner at El Portitxol or Nobu.

Day 5 — Ibiza: Beaches & Sunsets

A full day on Ibiza — Playa d'en Bossa for the beach club scene (Ushuaïa, Hi Ibiza), the famous sunset at Café del Mar in Sant Antoni, or a quieter day at Cala Conta or Cala Llonga. The balance between glamour and beauty is Ibiza's particular genius.

Day 6 — Es Vedrà & Sant Antoni

The dramatic sea rock of Es Vedrà — a vertical limestone stack rising 382 metres from the sea, visible from 20 miles and surrounded by mythology. Anchor off the rock for a morning swim before continuing to the bay at Sant Antoni for a final sunset at Café del Mar. The sunset here, with the silhouette of Es Vedrà on the horizon, is exceptional.

Day 7 — Return to Mallorca or Ibiza

A day at anchor in one of the final favourite bays before returning to port. Depending on flights, disembarkation can be at Ibiza, Mallorca or Menorca.

Day 8 — Disembarkation

Farewell breakfast before disembarkation. Ibiza Airport (IBZ) connects directly to most European cities; Palma Airport (PMI) has the widest international connections.
