7-Night Cyprus Highlights — Limassol to Paphos
Route Overview
The Route
Day 1 — Limassol: Embarkation
Board at Limassol Marina — one of the most modern superyacht facilities in the eastern Mediterranean, with excellent restaurants and a developing waterfront. A walk through the old town and the Limassol Castle (Richard the Lionheart married here in 1191). Welcome dinner ashore.
Day 2 — Kourion & Governor's Beach
A short sail west brings you to Governor's Beach — striking black rock formations and white chalk cliffs. A car can be arranged to the extraordinary Kourion archaeological site above the coast — a Greco-Roman city with a mosaic-floored House of Eustolios, a theatre with views to the sea, and the Stadium. Return to the yacht for a swim stop.
Day 3 — Paphos
Continue west to Paphos — a UNESCO World Heritage City of remarkable Roman mosaics (the Archaeological Park covers an entire headland with in-situ floor mosaics of exceptional quality). The ancient harbour, the Tombs of the Kings and the legendary Aphrodite's Rock (Petra tou Romiou) are all within reach. Overnight at Paphos Marina.
Day 4 — Akamas Peninsula & Blue Lagoon
Sail around the Akamas Peninsula — Cyprus's most dramatic and protected coastline, with no development and some of the clearest water on the island. The Blue Lagoon at Lara Bay is a protected turtle nesting beach; snorkelling here is exceptional. Anchor for a day of swimming and exploring by tender.
Day 5 — Latchi & Polis
The small fishing harbour of Latchi is one of the most charming spots in Cyprus — a tiny quay of coloured boats, an excellent fish restaurant (Andreas restaurant on the harbour) and proximity to the Baths of Aphrodite, a natural grotto of mythology and extraordinary beauty.
Day 6 — Northern Cyprus: Kyrenia
Sail east along the northern coast (crossing into the Turkish-administered area requires specific documentation — we arrange this in advance). Kyrenia (Girne) has one of the most beautiful harbours in the Mediterranean — a horseshoe of old buildings around an inner port, crowned by a Byzantine castle containing the world's oldest recovered shipwreck.
Day 7 — Cape Greco & Return
Round Cyprus's southeastern cape — Cape Greco is a nature park of sea caves and dramatic coastline. The famous 'Blue Lagoon' at Konnos Bay has extraordinary turquoise water. Return to Limassol for a farewell dinner.
Day 8 — Disembarkation
Disembarkation at Limassol Marina. Larnaca Airport (50 minutes east) or Paphos Airport (40 minutes west) both serve major European cities.
