Ibiza Town: The UNESCO-listed old town of Dalt Vila crowns a hill above the harbour — extraordinary by day and electric by night. Anchor at Talamanca or use the marina.
Formentera: The smallest and most transparent-watered island — Ses Illetes and Espalmador offer the closest thing to Caribbean water colours in the Mediterranean.
Menorca: The most protected of the Balearics — quieter, greener and full of prehistoric Talayotic sites. Ciudadela's old harbour is one of the most beautiful in Spain.

Best Season

June to September, with July–August the peak. The Tramontane and Mistral can funnel strongly in the north of Mallorca; the island's eastern and southern coasts are more sheltered. Book marinas well in advance for July–August.

Charter Considerations

Spain applies IVA (VAT) to charters — regulations differ slightly from French/Italian rules. Certain anchorages have seasonal restrictions, particularly in the protected northern coast of Mallorca. APA 30–35%. Euro currency. The Balearics are very well served with provisioning, maintenance and crew services.
